THIS WEBSITE IS ABOUT KACY VANDUINEN BREEDING AND SELLING PUPPIES WHO MAY BE AT RISK FOR DEVELOPING DEGENERATIVE MYELOPATHY, (DM).  "AT RISK" DOESN'T MEAN A DOG WILL NECESSARILY DEVELOP DM, BUT IT IS A POSSIBLITY.

I'm Valerie.  Kacy VanDuinen told me that my newborn puppy was tested and is a carrier for Degenerative Myelopathy, which means he will never develop it.  Through testing on my own, I found out he actually did inherit the genes which put him at risk for developing the disease.

THESE ARE SOME OF KACY'S DOGS ON THE TRIPLE M CORGIS WEBSITE, THAT PRIOR TO 5/23/2019, WERE LABELED AS CARRIERS FOR DM (ALL THE DOGS THAT I KNOW OF).

EVERY PUPPY OUT OF ANY COMBINATION OF THESE DOGS HAS A  25% CHANCE OF BEING AT-RISK FOR THE DISEASE, LIKE MY PUPPY IS.

          Stetson

Fancy

Duke

Sable

Tilly

Kate

Bobbie Jo

River

Memphis

Roxy  (owned by Hydrangea Hills, but was bred with Stetson of Triple M Corgis several times)

The dogs listed above used by Kacy for breeding do not necessarily represent all her dogs who may be carriers of or are at-risk for DM, either currently or in the past. There are many corgis there I'm not familiar with, and there may likely be others who are carriers or at-risk.

IT'S ESTIMATED BY MANY THAT ROUGHLY 30% OF DOGS DNA TESTED AND FOUND TO BE AT RISK WILL GO ON TO DEVELOP DM.  THERE IS SOME DEBATE ON PERCENTAGE. SEE MY SECTIONS CALLED EXPERIENCE ANSWERS, AND THE DISCUSSIONS I HAVE WITH THE SENIOR GENETICIST FROM EMBARK FOUND IN THE RUNDOWN SECTION.

My little guy turned out to be in that 25% to be at-risk for DM.

He was born to Duke and River, both carriers for DM .

He was bred by Kacy at Triple M Corgis.
